Jennie Nestler is a vital consultant of Re-Enlist to Life, specializing in the development of holistic, community-based programming for justice-involved veterans. She brings a deep, "lived experience" perspective to the reentry process, ensuring that transition pathways are rooted in dignity and long-term stability.

Jennie’s professional synergy with Robert Embry is well-established, having previously served as a Director at the largest veteran transition center in California. In that role, she managed large-scale operations and high-level service delivery for veterans navigating the most difficult transitions of their lives.

Expertise & Systemic Navigation Jennie is one of the few specialists holding a CDCR Statewide Pass, allowing her to maintain a presence inside all California state prisons. This access is foundational to her "bridge" model, which connects incarcerated veterans to housing and clinical resources before they ever step foot outside the gate.

  • Reentry Leadership: Currently serving as the Director of Reentry Services, she has over five years of direct experience working with returning citizens and incarcerated individuals.

  • Systemic Impact: Known for her work in transformative reentry, Jennie has been instrumental in organizing statewide resource fairs that bring critical services directly to the incarcerated population.

  • Project Integration: Within the Twentynine Palms modular community, Jennie consults on the post-incarceration strategy, ensuring the 16-unit project is fully integrated with state parole and reentry requirements.

Jennie’s unique blend of executive-level management and direct, "behind-the-wire" advocacy makes her an indispensable asset to the Re-Enlist to Life mission.
